I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again: If ever there was a video game that depicted my life as a space-cadet-robot fighting alien women in an alternate universe, the soundtrack would most definitely be created by Futuresight.

Zander, also known as Futuresight, is a musician based in Lancaster, PA that started making music in high school in ’96, when he received his first guitar. Shortly after, he started a band, Falcon Jones, with some of his friends.
In 2009, he began to take more interest in electronic music, and from there, the duo Z Plus was born with his friend Juany. A residency at The Chameleon Club and numerous shows later, the two parted ways and decided to pursue solo music ventures. Alas, the birth of Futuresight.
A bit of chillwave with some synth—Futuresight creates an entire atmosphere with his music. His nod to ’80s sound and his take on retro wave create a refreshing album that can set the tone for a day … or night (depending on if that’s coffee you’re sipping or wine). You can catch his debut album, Surface here.
I spent an afternoon with Zander to chat about all things synth, live performance, and what’s to come for his music. Stay tuned for part two, where we’ll be adding some bars to the Jam Hot song Zander created for us. You can groove out to it here. Thanks, Zander, for sharing your sound with us!
